This Liberty, Missouri homeowner wanted to transform their pool area to create a more inviting and aesthetically bright area. Aside from the obvious uneven concrete, they had chunks of concrete missing. The homeowner decided to not only repair the concrete areas, but to also apply floor coatings.
PolyMagic™ is different from other floor coatings companies because we can repair the concrete before getting started on the coatings. Other epoxy or coatings companies will apply the mixture over the imperfections, hiding the issues, but not repairing them. PolyMagic uses polyaspartic/polyurea instead of epoxy. Here’s why…
Let’s compare Polyaspartic vs. Epoxy Floor Coating:
- Polyaspartic Garage Floor Coatings won’t peel or flake like the epoxy floor coatings (especially the DIY jobs)
- Epoxy curing time is length… up to a week…. Polyaspartic only takes about a day (you are able to walk on the surface in SIX hours!)
- Polyaspartic has evenly distributed color flakes across the flooring – epoxy usually has the base coat show through
- Polyaspartic is 10x MORE DURABLE than epoxy. This is crucial for areas such as the garage where you have vehicles driving in and out, have oil and chemical spills, etc.
The ability to transform any drab space with custom flooring applications is incredible. From man caves and garage floors to industrial and commercial flooring, PolyMagic™ has the experience and team to tackle any of your projects. Our chemical, polyaspartic, is superior to the standard epoxy floor coating.
You may have heard our commercials on 810 Sports. We transformed Steven St. John‘s garage floor a few months ago. Before beginning the coatings, we repaired some of the uneven concrete and problem concrete areas.
Here are some of the areas we can apply floor coatings to:
- Garage floors
- Basements
- Patios
- Porches
- Pool areas
- Sheds
- Man Caves
- Industrial spaces
- Commercial areas
- Outdoor restrooms

ADVANTAGES OF POLYUREA POLYASPARTIC COATINGS
From an installation and customer standpoint, temperature and time are the largest advantages of a polyurea polyaspartic garage floor coating. Unlike epoxy application, a polyurea polyaspartic coating can be applied in temperatures as low as -30°F and as high as 140°F. As we know the Midwestern weather can vary by the hour, this window of temperature allows for the application to be done anytime throughout the year. In addition, we’re all time sensitive, and want things done immediately without a long waiting period. The polyurea polyaspartic coating process will be applied and within the next 6 to 24 hours, the customer is able to return to use as normal! This is different from the standard epoxy application, as that requires waiting for three to six days.
Other benefits include:
• 100% UV stable (no yellowing)
• Crystal clear finish that repels moisture and looks like a granite finish
• High gloss finish (but not slippery!)
• Scratch resistance
• Stain and chemical resistance (especially helpful in a garage with oil and chemicals)
• Heat resistance (helpful for those hot July and August months in Kansas City)
